2023 Civic Leaders: Closing Reflections

The 2023 Summer Civic Leadership Intern Program has come to an end! This amazing team gave their all this summer and put a lot of civic spirit and hard work in KVD’s 2023 Election Guide. From acting in a video detailing the voter registration process, to designing interactive elements for use throughout the election guide, to narrating a series of clips showing the role of city government in daily life, our interns were always eager and willing to bring their ideas to life. Their contributions will benefit not only youth under 18 seeking involvement with local elections, but all Durham voters looking to cast an informed ballot! We’re so grateful for this team’s energy, dedication, thoughtfulness, and humor. It’s truly been a great summer.
