DURHAM CITY GOVERNMENT
The City of Durham has a Council-Manager Government, which means that City Council hires a County Manager to run the city.
Every two years, Durham voters elect the Mayor and three of the six City Council members. These elections are non-partisan: none of the candidates run for office as Republican, Democrat, or with any party.
In each election, voters can vote for one candidate for Mayor and three candidates for city council.
