Volunteer
Kids Voting Durham needs the support of hundreds of volunteers to carry out its mission. A wide variety of volunteer opportunities are available, and we especially welcome volunteers from Durham’s youth community.
Current and retired teachers or those with education experience can help teach Kids Voting lessons in after school programs, to youth groups, and in other arena’s where Durham’s youth can benefit from civics education and experiences.
Kids Voting needs volunteers to help staff polls, tally ballots, and serve as runners on Election Day. This can be a rewarding activity for youth 14 and above; for parent student teams; and for anyone who cares about growing and nurturing an active civic generation.
Volunteers can help year-round with outreach, community education activities, and election preparation.
