How can the under-18 set weigh in on today’s School Board Elections?  There are lots of options:

  • Vote online  at or at   Use code “001” when asked for a voter id at the beginning of the ballots
  • Go to a Durham precinct with a Kids Voting polling site, cast a paper ballot, and get an “I Voted” sticker (it doesn’t need to be your child’s neighborhood precinct — K-12 students can vote at any KVD site. )  Kids can vote at any Kids Voting site not just the precinct where their parents vote!  Sites that will be staff with volunteers from 2:30 pm-7:30 pm include:

George Watts School, 700 Watts St. (entire on South side of building)

Durham Cooperative Extension, 721 Foster St.

East Regional Library, 211 Lick Creek Lane

Forest Hills Clubhouse,  1639 University Drive

Parkwood Fire Station, 1409 Seaton Rd.

And if you are an adult who hasn’t early voted, today is your last day to have your say in Durham’s School Board Elections and primaries too.

Don’t forget to send us your Family Voting Selfies on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter or by emailing when you vote!  Download an “Our Family Votes” sheet here.
